We launched #Umi100 to celebrate mums of African descent leading change

This week is for mums.

Umi literally means "Mother" or "Life giver". So, you best believe we will jump on any and every avenue we have to celebrate us.

Africa is rich. We are truly blessed. And the future is even much more beautiful because of the generation that we are currently raising. So, we take it upon ourselves to celebrate all efforts that contribute positively to making sure that Africa and the world is a wonderful place. Mothers are goddesses. We do not take them for granted.

This need to celebrate and love up on mothers is the reason we created #Umi100, an avenue to spotlight 100 mums of African descent who are leading change everywhere. These mums inspire us. They are gorgeous examples who blaze trail ahead of us and make us feel less alone as we chart our own path as mothers and professionals. We love them. Check out the full list on Umi100.com.

We are even much more inspired by our gorgeous mentors. They hold our hands and make sure that we are doing everything right. They are our blessing. We love you so much.

And we celebrate all our mothers, the ones who gave us life, the ones who raised us and those who continue to guide us on the right path so that we do not screw up the next generation. Because of them, we can never say that we are alone.

We love on all the beautiful mentees of Umi Mentorship program and the beautiful mums in our community. Your commitment to knowledge and growth in your career and in parenting is so inspiring. Your friendship within the community is even more beautiful. We love you guys so much.
