Umi Mentorship Program: Mentors Catalogue

We are super grateful to our incredible pool of mentors who dedicated 3-months of their 2023 to provide guidance to their mentors in the very first cohort of Umi Mentorship Program.

And we are even more grateful that they remain committed to sharing their wealth of experiences as mums, wives and professionals. As we continue to have more mentors come on board, we are overwhelmed by how much these ones have trusted us and how they have supported this initiative to ensure that mothers in the Umi community are exceptional in all areas.

Here are some of our mentors;

Tinu Smith is an award winning Nigerian Based fashion designer, and the Chief Executive Officer of Datina Designs Fashion House and Fashion School. She has managed her fashion designing business for over 27 years. She is a Goldmansach scholar from the  Educational Development Centre, Pan Atlantic University, Lagos Business School, where she studied Entrepreneurial Management. She is also an advocate for Women & youth empowerment. She runs Treasures Refuge Foundation a social enterprise  focused on mentoring young women . She is a deep lover of music and she is married with two lovely children.

Omolayo Oyawoye is the CEO of Lighthearts Consulting and The Cradle Schools. She has a degree in English Language from the University of Ilorin with Certifications in psychological counselling and stages of child development. She is an Applied behaviour analysis Technician as well as a Professional Counsellor for survivors of Sexual Abuse. She is also a Special Education Needs assistant and trained in Montessori Techniques. She pioneered Essence for Women, a video podcast aimed at building the Total Woman, reaching hundreds of women via social media. This also birthed The Thrive Gang, a mentorship program for women to help them rise above all limits. She is married to Dotun Oyawoye and blessed with adorable kids

Omobolaji Ayobami Aiyedogbon is  a John Maxwell certified consultant, coach, trainer and speaker and a Certified Creative Intelligence Coach. Omobolaji's undying focus to raise the next generation of leaders and future technology-savvy entrepreneurs, has given her an excellent expression as a Creative Life and Clarity Coach for kids and young adults. Omobolaji is also a Licenced Brain Trainer, a Licenced Neuroencoding Specialist and a Family Life Practitioner. She is the founder of DEE Charis Haven Consulting. She is married with 3 lovely Creative and Joyful Children.

Oluwatunmise is a language enthusiast, who has propagated the gospel of authenticity and social awareness through the media for over 20 years. She is a graduate of English language studies from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, A senior certified professional coach (CTA-SCPC), and A mental health and wellness advocate. She is the author of a mini memoir Living Mindfully A journey to being, A book that draws from her personal stories as a person living with bipolar affective disorder, to illustrate how she works at being present in daily conversations and engagements while navigating through life’s challenges in an increasingly noisy world. Wife, Mother, and Lover of God.

Olajumoke Odulaja is a banker who rose to the position of Chief Risk Officer at one of the top banks in Nigeria before joining the International Financial Corporation recently. She is happily married with three thriving kids.

Mrs Bolanle Iyanda is an exceptional Chef/Baker. She is the CEO of Juniper Delight Confectionary, a home of different kinds of cakes and confectioneries. Mrs Bolanle Iyanda is a Christian, married and a mother of two beautiful girls.

Tolulope Akinjokun is an administrator by training, she holds a master's degree in Public Administration. She worked as a customer care officer for almost a decade in one of the leading commercial banks in Nigeria before venturing into business. She is currently a director at Linemart Plus Ventures a company that deals in interior decoration, sales of beddings and accessories. She is a mother of two blessed children aged 6&12 and a devoted wife to her best friend and husband of almost 15 years.

Adedayo Okoro serves as an Associate Pastor at The CityGate Church. She is married to Pst. Okoro Godspower and blessed with two boys. She has two M.A and a PhD which she got after marriage. She has over 12 years experience in educational management and has run several outreaches to public secondary schools which is geared towards reducing post secondary school dropout rates in Nigeria. She currently runs a Language Development Centre and a Study Abroad Consult. She is a lover of Jesus and committed to being conformed to His Image

Olatunde Scholar is an IT professional with a proven track record in graphics design, networking, managing website & databases with  interpersonal skills, enabling her to interact with a wide range of clients and stake holders.  An Educator, a Teen-Mentor, a Team Lead, a Wife and a Mother of 3 who has managed motherhood, parenting and her career over the years with lots of certificates on various courses to keep being relevant in her profession. She is currently serving as an educator and an ICT Team Lead with over a decade of experience in a private educational organization located at Ikorodu Lagos, Nigeria.

Ololade Afolayan is an experienced finance professional, with about twenty years of experience in the financial services industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management & Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She has held several positions at FCMB Capital Markets Limited. Prior to this, she was the Head of Operations and Financial Controller. She is the Chief Financial Officer and Head, Operations of FCMB Capital Markets Limited. She loves to work with children and is the assistant Head of the Junior Church at the Elevation Church, Lekki Lagos.

Omobolanle Salami is an experienced administrator and consultant who has worked with the Ogun state government. She is also an experienced teacher who has taught in private schools in the past, before becoming a full time entrepreneur. Along with being a successful entrepreneur, she is also a Pastor at MFM Youth church Region 8. Abeokuta, where her husband is a Region Overseer of the church.

Mummy Emiola Fakolade retired as Human Resource Manager, Lead City University, Ibadan. She lost her husband at age 40, and rose up to the challenge of raising up her 6 children while still progressing in her career. She has worked with Federal Ministry of Finance and Federal Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity.

Barr Olayanju Eto-Abasi is wife to one of God's best men, a mother committed to raising godly seeds - a project she has been doing for about 8 years. She is also a practising legal practitioner and an ardent follower of Jesus.

Omowumi Mokikan is a Customer service analyst with over 15 years experience in client services. She is a graduate of Linguistics From University of Ilorin, and Masters in Public Affairs from University of Lagos. She runs a food business called Moriks Foods, a fast growing Catering Business. She is Married with 2 Lovely children. Omowumi Mokikan is passionate about children and family life and currently volunteers at The Elevation Junior Church.

Bukola Babatunde is the CEO of Wurphil Baby Care store. A resourceful serial entrepreneur who has been in the business space for years, with lots of professional experience in the business world. She is happily married to Mr. Philip Babatunde and their union is blessed with four adorable children.

Afolashade Adebayo is a dynamic woman and an exemplary leader with a very creative mind. She is a tenacious woman with the bid to give herself to learning at any given opportunity. She has worked in the healthcare sector for over a decade and skilled with culinary skills. She loves to help young ladies and women find a balance between becoming whom God has called to be, having a career, raising Godly children and living a fulfilled life. She is a supportive wife to an amazing husband and a loving mother to two adorable daughters.

Opeyemi Odejide began her career as a relationship officer and has since climbed the ladder to become a Client service manager in addition to so many other feats she has attained. She is also the convener of the annual Pillars’ conference, a gathering of women who are interested in growing in all facets of their lives. She is married to a dynamic minister of the word of God and she is blessed with three biological children.
