Respecting other people's personal space

Now that we've taught our kids the need for boundaries and the reason people should not violate their personal space, it is all well and good.

I commend you for doing all you can to ensure that your children are well informed of their right as individuals. It is true that you cannot know what someone else is teaching their kids, but the combination of you and me towing the line of intentional parenting gets us closer to a sane world.

Part of that effort is teaching your kids the need to respect other people's boundaries as well.

The world does not revolve around our kids. That means just as they have a right to their own space, so do other people around them.

They will not always get their way with people. And that's okay.

Part of teaching them boundaries is for them to stop following Mummy to the bathroom (my toddler need to listen to this one!).
